Governor Branstad has signed a proclamation to allow overweight loads throughout harvest season. The proclamation took effect September 25 and expires after 60 days. The proclamation allows vehicles transporting soybeans, corn, hay, straw, silage and stover to be overweight (not exceeding 90,000 pounds gross weight) without a permit, for the duration of the proclamation.
