Iowa moved up two spots in the 26th annual America’s Health Rankings report, making us 22nd in the nation. Iowa improved in:
- Adults who smoke (ranking has improved from 28th in 2014 to 26th in 2015).
- Obesity (ranking has improved from 39th in 2014 to 35th in 2015).
- Physical Inactivity (ranking has improved from 39th in 2014 to 25th in 2015).
To improve further, Iowa must tackle such challenges as excessive drinking and low immunization coverage among adolescents.
