March is National Nutrition Month

March—which is National Nutrition Month—is a good time to brush up on healthy habits. The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics recommends a healthy breakfast with lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

 

It’s also important to fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables at every meal. This adds more fiber, nutrients and vitamins to your diet, and reduces your risk of many diseases, including heart disease and some cancers. It’s also important to watch portion sizes, eat seafood twice a week, cut back on sugars and drink more water.
